The Value of Commuter travel Time Savings. empirical Estimation Using an Alternative Valuation Method.

A model is presented for the valuation of travel time saved in relation to income, trip length and the amount of time saved. If time saved is small in proportion to trip length, it may fall into an "insensitive region" and not be perceived at all.
