Intermodal Impacts: Interstate Highways and Airport Viability

Construction of an Interstate highway increases traffic at hub airports by making them more accessible; but non-hub airports lose some of their feeder function to the roads. This was one reason for lost traffic at non-hub airports in Indiana, but changes in air services were more important.
